How Maksimus Pegasus handles your data.
When you share a screenshot with Maksimus, or when automatic catch-up picks up a new one, the image is read on your device using Apple’s on-device text recognition. The recognised text is used to look for a calendar event. The image and its analysis stay in Maksimus’s own private storage on your device.
None. No personal data, usage data, diagnostics or identifiers are transmitted off your device by this app. There is nowhere for it to go: the app contains no networking code, no backend, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no third-party libraries of any kind.
Requested once, when you finish the introduction, so Maksimus can find new screenshots on its own. Your other photos are never analysed. Declining turns Automatic Catch-Up off and leaves the Share method, Siri and Shortcuts fully working.
Write-only access, requested once when you finish the introduction. Maksimus never reads your existing calendar entries, and nothing is written to it without your tap on Add to Calendar.
Optional, and only asked for if you allowed Photos, since it exists to tell you about an analysis you did not start. Used to say an event was found and to offer Add to Calendar and Don’t Add. If you decline, results appear inside the app instead.
The Maksimus share extension analyses the screenshot inside the share screen. To hand the screenshot to the main app it uses an App Group container — private storage shared only between Maksimus and its own extension on the same device. Files placed there are removed once the app has imported them.
You can create a diagnostic report from an event card or from Help. The report is generated on your device and is never sent anywhere automatically. It contains the app version, iOS version, locale, and a redacted summary of the event. It does not contain the screenshot, booking references, ticket or seat numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, or unredacted recognised text unless you explicitly opt in — and recognised text is masked even then. You choose whether to share it, and with whom.
Booking references, ticket and seat numbers, email addresses and phone numbers are masked before anything is shown in a notification or included in a report.
Deleting an item in Maksimus removes its record and its image files from your device. The Storage screen lets you delete screenshots whose events are already in your calendar, delete items older than 30 days, or delete all local data. Maksimus never deletes anything on its own. Deleting local screenshots does not remove calendar events you already created.
Maksimus Pegasus is a general audience productivity app. It does not contain content directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone.
